At the small valley of Mavrodilesi is the Amphiareion of Oropos, sacred site and oracle dedicated to the chthonic god Aphiaraos. Built in the 5th century BC there were also baths with a reputation even greater than the sanctuary. Only fragments survive from the temple and part from the stoa while a stone theatre, a Roman cistern and part of the baths survive.
