The art collection of the National Bank has more than 1,300 original works of painting, sculpture and engraving. Its history starts from the foundation of the bank in 1841 and covers sufficiently the course of modern Greek art. The core of the collection consists of works of the representatives of the “School of Munich” like N. Lytras, K. Volanakis and N. Gyzis. The central building of the National Bank hosts the largest part of the collection.
