A Walk at Monastiraki

One of the most picturesque and busiest areas of Athens is Monastiraki, the area around the church of Panagia Pantanassa, the only buildingτ that still survives from the monastery that was here during the Turkish occupation. The walk amidst the countless small stores and the benches of the street vendors is a unique experience and a temptation that is difficult to resist. On Sundays there is a large outdoors bazaar.
