Avissinias Square

Avissinias Square Avissinias Square Avissinias Square Avissinias Square Avissinias Square
One of the most impressive spots of Athens is Avissinias square. The one time crossroads of periods, cultures and religions continues to maintain this exotic aura. Every Sunday morning at 7.00 the bazaar is set outside the antique shops, a strange wondrous area with furniture, objects, clothes and anything you can imagine. The square is also known as “Yussuroum”, a name it took from the family of the Jewish antique dealer Noah Yussuroum after they settled in Monastiraki in 1863.
