Ermou

Ermou Ermou Ermou Ermou Ermou Ermou
Ermou street, which starts from Syntagma square, is the heart of commercial activity and rightfully has the name of god Hermes, the protector of trade.

it is one of the first streets that were opened in Athens, in 1835, according to the city plan of Kleanthis and Schaubert. To open it several monuments were destroyed, but fortunately the Byzantine church of Kapnikarea has survived, which today has been incorporated harmoniously to the pedestrian street. Every day it is bustling with life and is suitable for a stroll and shopping at its numerous commercial stores.
