The restaurant Rincon Mexicano in the area of Koukaki offers authentic Mexican cuisine. The environment of the restaurant is very nice and cozy where you can enjoy your meal accompanied with a glass of Sangria or a Margarita cocktail.

The WORST margaritas ever and DISGUSTING food
The owner/staff was not friendly by any means but not rude either. Service was very slow given we were the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered margaritas, guacamole and a taco salad. The margaritas ($10 each) were by far the WORST we have EVER had. They basically mixed salt with water (not on the rim of the glass but in the drink) and added a splash of triple sec and ice. It tasted so bad, we had one sip and put it aside. They made the guacamole by adding a diced up RAW rubbery avocado with an entire chopped up tomato! The raw avocado made the guacamole very chewy and again we ate no more than a few bites in fear of getting sick. We had an allergy to one item in the taco salad and had asked this not be added. Of course they had added it. However, even worse, they had drenched the salad in HALF A CUP of oil. There was a pool of oil an inch high at the bottom of the taco bowl. DISGUSTING! Further thew taco shell was stale and chewy. In the end we left 90% of the meal and drinks untouched as we did not want to get sick. Instead, we just walked down the street and got a full meal at one of the many good restaurants in the area. Overall, this was by far the WORST MEXICAN RESTAURANT we have ever been to, not just in Athens, but in all of our travels. This was also the WORST meal we had in all of Greece. Please be very careful if you choose to dine here as you risk getting very ill.
