The Hellenic Wildlife Hospital in Aegina undertakes to treat injured and battered wild animals in order to release them to their natural habitat when they are healthy and capable to survive on their own. With its activities it contributes decisively by informing and creating an awareness to the public but also researching in order to avoid whatever endangers wild life. It is the first of its kind in the Balkans and it was founded in 1984 and since 1990 it has been a non-profit company.
