Three days in Athens are not a lot, neither few if you have the proper organization. Visit the Roman Agora, drink a coffee at the picturesque Plaka, discover the treasures of the Acropolis Museum and follow the pedestrian zone of Dionysiou Areopagitis street which will bring you at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the theatre of Dionysus, with a small detour to the Byzantine church of Loumbardiaris, the Acropolis, the Pnyx and the Ancient Agora. Do not omit a visit to Panathenaic Stadium, the Olimpieion, the National Garden and a quick passage from Syntagma to Panepistimiou street. For the lovers of museums we undoubtedly propose a visit to the National Archaeological Museum and Benaki Museum at Pireos street, something that can be combined with the nearby Museum and ancient cemetery of Kerameikos. For food and drink prefer Monastiraki, Psiri, Thiseio, Gazi or Kolonaki. Bring your stay to Athens with a visit to the magnificent temple of Poseidon in Sounio, combining it with a swim to one of the nearby beaches and a lunch in Lavrio.
