Perhaps the most beautiful pedestrian street is the one of Dionysiou Areopagitou, literally under the shadow of the Acropolis. Start from the Metro station which is right next to it, at the pedestrian street of Makrigianni. Walking along Dionysiou Areopagitou and leaving the Museum of the Acropolis behind you, you walk among excellent examples of the ancient and modern architecture. Make a stop in order to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and then head towards the Acropolis or continue to Apostolou Pavlou street in Thiseio.
