Tomb of Salamina Fighters
The Naval Battle of Salamina took place in 480 BC. The smaller Greek fleet managed to defeat the much larger Persian fleet averting their invasion to the Peloponnese. Here the Athenians buried their dead and during excavation of this Tomb important findings were discovered like ruins of buildings. At the area there is a sculpture by Achilleas Vasiliou in memory of the fighters.
