It is the oldest surviving theatre in Greece and its construction dates from the end of the 6th century BC. It takes advantage of its location and develops in 21 rows with a capacity that reaches 4,000 spectators. The Theatre of Thoricus is unique because of its shape and the shape of its orchestra. The complex of the theatre includes the basis of the altar and the remains of the small temple dedicated to Dionysus.
