The dream of the goldsmith Xhristos Tsitsopoulos was to create a luxury hotel in the centre of Athens. It constructed the four-storied classical-style building in 1904 at the block of the streets Ermou, Voulis, Skopa and Petraki. The hotel operated under various names until the 1950s. The building was renovated in about 2000 in order to house a department store with clothes.
