The unveiling took place in 1989 and coincided with the voting of a law which officially ended the Civil War. The title of the composition and its symbolism enhanced the meaning of this gesture of union. The sculptor is a complex of three bronze figures that is located at Klathmonos square. The 8-meter figures embrace one another with one hand and the other rises to the sky. The sculptor was made by Vassilis Doropoulos in 1987.
