Dozens museums at the centre of Athens but also at the suburbs house unique collections that testify the history of the land, illuminating its every aspect. Apart from the famous Acropolis Museum, it is worth visiting the rich collections of the National Archaeological Museum, the treasures of the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the exhibitions of the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Benaki Museum, but also smaller important exhibitions of lesser known museums.
