Acropolis Museum
The Acropolis Museum, one of the most important all over the world, includes unique masterpieces, mainly original works of the Archaic and Classical Greek art, which combine directly with the sacred rock of the Acropolis. The visitor can see very important works, like the Caryatids of the Erechtheion and the sculpted decoration of the Parthenon. The incorporation of the frieze into the core of the Museum, the placing of the metopes among the columns, the development of the figures of the two pediments of the temple and the connection of the original sculptures with the replicas of those that are in museum abroad (British, Louvre) gives us the opportunity to see for the first time the total image of the sculpted decoration of the Parthenon.
