Agia Eirini Square
The square takes its name by the church of Agia Eirini, work of the architect Lysandros Kaftantzoglou which was erected in 1850 at the location of an older medieval church dedicated to same saint. Behind the church is the square and there is a more intense and noisy life. Where once were shops with gardening items and one souvlaki tavern now there are bars and restaurants. All of them, each with a special character and well made, create a beautiful square that is truly unique.
