The aristocratic Kifissia was already from the 19th century a resort for the wealthy families and still continues to be one of the most expensive and richest districts of Athens. Luxurious detached houses, green parks, large areas of green with beautiful groves, as well as the famous flower exhibitions show the love of the residents of Kifissia for the well-cared environment. At the same time it is an important commercial centre of the northern suburbs with expensive hotels, luxurious cafes, elegant restaurants and expensive stores.
