Entertainment an Spectacles

Athens relationship with theatre goes so far back that is lost in the depths of time, while it flourished in the 4th and 5th century BC. The social and political character of the theatre continued to have a great influence to public life that’s why Athenians still love and watch theatre, in the same way as cinema, which became part of the city’s life in the beginning of the 19th century and since then it has been an integral part as it is evident by the festivals and the great number of cinema halls.
